The BFC journey: Shoot day

The big day is finally here!

Emily: We arrived at the beautiful Barbican Conservatory at the Barbican Centre early to help pack the van and race over to unload and start setting up for the shoot. Once the model was ready - my first professional shoot began...

Thankfully by this point my nerves had been replaced by excitement and i couldn't wait to get going. The first look was shot without any problems and soon I was on to the second and then 3rd before lunch. The afternoon went almost as smoothly, there was a small accident with a piece of equipment being blown into a pond, but other than that everything ran to time and I was really enjoying myself!

I'd really like wednesday to happen all over again!

Shivani: Shortly after arriving I was introduced to the hair and make-up artists to brief them on my collection and show them images of how we envisioned the styling to look like. It didn’t take them long to get straight into it, and I watched as Jaz, our model, was transformed into the wild queen of the jungle I had imagined wearing my collection!

After each look was shot, I dressed Jaz in the next and we moved from one spot to another within the garden. It was really lovely seeing someone in my garments again after so long, and the surroundings couldn’t have been more perfect for the campaign.
