Daisy Craver London Fashion Week event!

On Monday afternoon the British Fashion Council Show Space reception was a hive of activity as Daisy Craver launched her exclusive collection as part of London Fashion Week. The fashion pack gathered to sip champagne whilst models strutted their stuff head to toe in gorgeous Daisy Craver pieces.  Daisy’s back again to tell us more about her evening:

‘WOW...what a week it's been! The venue looked amazing - we had put out huge cut outs from the photo shoot and a rail showcasing the garments

Friends, family, tutors from university arrived to support me. It was so amazing to see my tutors who had helped me through the entire collection and followed the process from beginning to end. I was so touched that they all came.

BabyDrum played again; they looked fabulous and played a great DJ set...Thank you girls. The champagne was flowing and everyone seemed to be having a good time, I know I was!

I can’t even express exactly how it all felt and how wonderfully the event went! Thanks to everyone who made it so special.

Should I come back to earth now?’

Hi BabyDrum are you having a good time?

Ami: Yea it’s been so much fun.  There’s an amazing atmosphere and the collection looks gorgeous!  Everyone seems to be having a great time.

Glad to hear it! What has inspired your playlist for tonight?

Hannah: Daisy’s collection firstly, it has a rock edge and we wanted to reflect that in the music.

Ami:  We wanted to do rock but with a fun edge.  We’ve played a real mixture of stuff, some old and some brand new…just to keep things interesting!

Just quickly so you can get back to the music…What are your favourite pieces from the collection?

Ami: I’m usually a trousers girl so I LOVE the studded trousers they are amazing! I’m wearing the Marble Print Drape Front Dress tonight and I feel so comfortable and sexy!

Hannah:  I’m wearing the Daisy Craver Studded Dress, for me it’s the perfect mix of feminine and edgy.  I’ve rocked it up with some heeled Dr Martins!

LONDON FASHION WEEK STREET STYLE: 90S GRUNGE- HOW TO WEAR IT

It’s that time of year again…London Fashion Week! That’s right, fashionistas the world over are in the capital this week dressed in their finest and we’ve been out snapping them for you to feast your eyes on.

A look that has been huge on the cobbles of the British Fashion Council venue, Somerset House this week has been 90s grunge. Cute over the knee socks, florals, knitwear and ankle boots or wedges are teamed with headbands and trilby and pork-pie hats. The key is to get a good balance between pretty and feminine and casual, rock ‘n’ roll. Layering is also key to this trend but the most important piece to round off the look and really channel that inner Courtney Love is a pair of round sunglasses.

Daisy Craver Collection Launch Night!

Winner of the Warehouse and British Fashion Council Colleges Council Design Competition 2010, Daisy Craver launched her exclusive collection at our Argyll street store on Thursday night.  Guests were invited to shop the collection for the first time and celebrate with Daisy!

Here Daisy gives us her own personal account of the evening’s event:

‘I haven’t been able to concentrate for about a week now, I’ve been WAY too excited about my collection launching in store.

The day kicked off with an early start, as I needed to go to the Argyll Street store to dress the window and the mannequins and generally make sure everything looked perfect.

We filled the windows with huge cut outs from the photo shoot (My housemates were asking if we can keep the cut outs for our living room)!

                                        
 
I had the most incredible evening!! I felt so proud watching shoppers look at my work and take pieces to the changing rooms to try on! My friends and family came down to celebrate with me and view the collection whilst sipping on a glass of champagne. Overall reactions seemed really positive and eager shoppers snapped up lots of my collection, which was amazing!

Hot new girl dj duo BabyDrum, graced the decks wearing pieces from my collection and looked great. (Thanks girls)! Watch out for exclusive interview to come from the girls.

I had the time of my life and still haven’t come back down to earth yet, it all still feels so surreal and exciting. I have to pinch myself just to double check I'm not dreaming!

Celebrate Vogue's Fashion Night Out with Warehouse

For the second year running we are celebrating the hottest event in town - Vogue's Fashion Night Out. Thousands of fashionista's will be hitting central London on Wednesday 8th September for fun and fashion.

We are holding a fashion show at our Argyll Street store and wait for it...it's going to be styled by you! That's right, become a stylist for the night and style one of our models in the hottest trends of the season. The winning stylist will get their chance to style their very own Style Studio TV shoot. The top five stylists of the night will win the outfit they styled PLUS, if that wasn't enough there will be a gift with purchase, free drinks and our Warehouse DJ will be spinning the hottest tracks!

Warehouse team up with the British Fashion Council Colleges Council

For the second year running we have teamed up with the British Fashion Council Colleges Council for a unique opportunity for one lucky design student. The winning student has won the chance to have her final collection sold through Warehouse stores and Warehouse.co.uk. Daisy Craver is the winner this year and her collection will be launching instore within a matter of weeks so keep your eyes peeled to get your hands on one of these one off pieces.
