This season is all about nipped in waists. Gone are the days of a plain belt hidden under belt loops, it's time to make a statement round your waist. Cinch in anything from maxi dresses to parka jackets with beautiful belts.
Agyness Deyn, Nicole Richie and Diane Kruger show us how it's done...
Last week saw the final week of Elite Model Look 2010. As the style partner to the prestigious modelling contest we have visited 10 cities nationwide, snapped thousands of you in our Style Studio and even partied on the sand at T4 on the Beach! From the thousands of girls that have tried their luck at being Elite's next big super model, 100 finalists were selected from the nationwide tours and they have now been whittled down to twelve. The twelve hopefuls embarked upon one of the busiest and most important weeks of their careers before the glittering, catwalk final on Thursday.
The girls arrived in London last Sunday and went straight to a dress fitting for the final catwalk show...
Tuesday saw the girls strike a pose in their first photoshoot...
On Wednesday the girls headed to our Argyll Street store for style advice and a shopping spree...
Thursday was the catwalk final where Emma Mactaggart was crowned as the winner!

Last Sunday we teamed up with the Elite Model Look team once again, got our sunnies on and made our way to Weston Super Mare for T4 On The Beach. The sun was shining, the music was loud and the crowd was ready to party!
Girls queued in their hundreds to try their luck at being Elite's next big supermodel as well as getting photographed in our Style Studio.
The rain came at the end of the day (typical British weather!) but that didn't stop DJ duo, Example play us out with a great set before we made the journey home.
Out of 150 entrants, 5 semi finalists were selected.
Last month, we showed the very best from our SS10 collection at The Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore. Press & Marketing Director, Lorraine Pringle and International Buyer, Holly Green went along for the rollercoaster ride.
Lorraine gives us the thrills and spills of the trip in her insider account…
As soon as we arrived in Singapore the pace and the heat were both unmissable. Jet lag and all, we were whisked off to meet our Singapore partners at the fabulous restaurant, The Prime Society. Looking more like a chilled, Ibiza hang out than the modern clean vibe I expected from Singapore (yes I was a Singapore virgin) we chatted about the plans for the next few days and what need to be achieved. It looked like we had a jam-pack few days ahead but thankfully Lisa Chai, our lovely Senior Marketing Manager in Singapore had everything timed to the minute to keep us on track!
Day 1: No rest for the wicked!
The first day saw Holly styling fifteen models and myself having a day of back-to-back press interviews. I was interviewed by five local magazines, including Singapore Elle and Harpers Bazaar and had the contents of my handbag scrutinised for a feature in Urban Straits magazine (think Sunday Time Style in Singapore). After our busy day, we headed off to the show tent to test the music - seeing the scale of the tent made our excitement (and nerves) grow. The music had just arrived from the UK from the lovely Jeffrey Disaster (for MBC Music) who had done a perfect job! Things were fitting into place and we couldn’t wait for the show!
We sneaked into the Rauol show that night to settle our nerves and see what the competition was like on the catwalk. Rauol is a great local Singapore designer who we hear through the grapevine may be coming to London this AW (can’t wait for that). After a long day it was time to relax with dinner by the quay and then off to bed to get some needed beauty sleep.
Day 2: Show day!
The day kicked off with the show rehearsal followed by more press interviews and hair and make-up briefings with the team. Meanwhile Holly worked on the finishing touches for the show outfits including shoe shopping for models with strangely, large feet! It was then back to the hotel to freshen up and then show time!
Rehearsals
The tent was filling up nicely, cocktails were flowing and the atmosphere was buzzy both front and back stage! We showed the SS10 collection together with a number of preview pieces and five pieces that were exclusively produced for the Singapore! There was a sprinkling of Singapore’s famous faces including YES 93.3 radio DJ’s;Lim Peifen, Ivy Tan, Yasmine Cheng. TV personalities, Paul Foster, Kiwi Lim, Linda Black and Oli Pettigrew were also all there soaking up the atmosphere.

The front row
Following the show we held two after-parties in our Singapore stores. The in-store DJ’s and goody bags proved to be a real hit and went on until the last shopper dropped! The tills were ringing and the exclusives were being snapped up...our work was done!!
The store after-show party
Needless to say, on our last night we managed to squeeze in a trip to Raffles Hotel for a legendary Singapore Sling, chilled out on the terrace at roof top bar, Loof and even had a little boogie at the uber cool, Supper Club.
Day 3: Our Work is done!
After a quick de-brief over breakfast with our Singapore partners (in which we all expressed our praise and happiness at such a great event), we were treated to an afternoon at The Beauty Emporium spa. Massages and facials relaxed us and got us ready to drift off on the long flight home! Oooh it’s a hard life!
We hope you enjoy the video of the show as much as we do…
Embellishment is big this season. Whether it's delicate beading on occasion dresses, grecian style metal on maxi dresses or deco inspired embellishment on tops it's important to adorn your wardrobe!
Lauren Conrad from The Hills goes for all out glamour in embellished evening wear.
While Katy Perry proves you can still rock embellishment with laid back style.
Last weekend saw thousands of festival goers cross the sea to hit the Isle of Wight festival. The weather held out which made it the perfect setting for our Graphic Designer, Lisa Barron's first festival experience.
Hear the thrills and spills from Lisa herself...
"As a festival virgin, Warehouse fashionista and ex-Girl Guide I went very well prepared! But, it was my turn up mini shorts that came up trumps - styled with leggings or tights for the chilly evenings or with bare legs by day. They were my festival essential from Friday's Jay-Z performance, to Saturday’s Orbital dance-off and finally Sunday’s Paul McCartney 'Hey Jude' sing-along! Also up there on my festival essentials list were my cut out detail sunglasses. These were perfect not only for when the sun was shining but to hide last nights excesses. My fringed saddle bag gave me that 70's Woodstock vibe! Finally, if you're planning to enjoy festival-fun this summer don’t forget a lightweight scarf - my shabby woven scarf doubled-up as a picnic blanket, umbrella and wind-breaker!"
So in the whirlwind style of the fashion world, although the sun is only just starting to shine, we are already starting to plan for autumn/winter, and boy oh boy is it set to be a stylish one.
Warehouse unveiled our AW10 collection to industry insiders the fashion and press back in April. The elite of the fashion industry were in attendance along with a sprinkling of celebrity. The collection went down a storm and now we are giving you a sneaky look at the day.
Although we are loving that summer is here (finally), we are also already drawing up that dream winter wardrobe!
Ascot starts today! From now until Saturday, ladies in their finest will be heading to the famous racecourse for a day of bets, champagne and fabulous frocks. Thursday sees the course play host to Ladies Day so ladies it's time to get shopping!
Of course a beautiful dress is necessary and there are many ways to work the dressed-up look this season.
Delicate and feminine
Nudes and muted tones are huge this season, as is lace. Channel your femininity with this delicate colour palette or opt for pretty lace. Team with a tan heel or wedge to give the look a modern twist.
The classic black dress
Nothing beats the way you feel in your old faithful, black dress. Why not treat yourself to a new one this season?
Make a statement
Whether it's with heavy embellishment, bold colour blocking or an impactful print, make a statement in occasionwear.
The final roadshow of our nationwide tour of the country as the style partner to Elite Model Look 2010 was in London this Saturday. Covent Garden's Market Square played host to the roadshow which was buzzing from start to finish. Girls queued in their hundreds to be Elite's next big supermodel and to strut their stuff on the catwalk in front of the judges. Over 200 hundred entrants were whittled down to seven finalists.
The Warehouse Style Studio was in full swing throughout the day, snapping the stylish ladies of Covent Garden.
Plus, those that posed for the Style Studio were entered to win a shopping spree every hour on the hour throughout the afternoon.
From 12pm our Covent Garden store gave complimentary drinks from beauty water, Sip and delicious cupcakes from The Artisan Cupcake Company to our shoppers whilst our DJ played the hottest tracks.
Elite models graced the catwalk wearing the must-have looks from our SS10 collection throughout the afternoon.
We can't wait for the final, keep eye out for updates!
